Karachi: 3 foreigners were killed in an explosion near Jinnah International Airport while 17 civilians were injured, three vehicles and four motorcycles were destroyed.
An oil tanker exploded near the airport signal with a loud explosion that was heard far away.
People living nearby came out of their houses, Rangers and police reached the spot and cordoned off the area.
After an hour of struggle, the fire of the tanker and vehicles was extinguished. After the explosion, there was a severe traffic jam in the vicinity of Sharia Faisal Airport.
The rescue team says that one person died and 10 people were injured in the incident. The dead and injured were immediately shifted to the hospital.
