Pakistan’s international airport security will be audited by Transport Canada

According to the report on Friday, Transport Canada, a well-known Canadian security organisation, has stated that before it begins operating flights in Pakistan, it would carry out a thorough security audit of Pakistan’s main airports.

The primary objective of the audit is to assess the current security protocols implemented at Pakistan’s international airports. Transport Canada will first base the entirety of its probe at Karachi’s main aviation hub, Jinnah International Airport.

The Saudi Aviation Authority has planned a security evaluation for Pakistan’s main airports in addition to Transport Canada’s involvement. Their team will start the audit on June 6, which will further demonstrate their dedication to upholding strict security regulations in the aviation sector.

In addition, Oman’s security services are scheduled to carry out a thorough inspection of Pakistan’s main airports by the end of July.

In addition, the Department for Transport in the United Kingdom has declared its plan to conduct a thorough security examination in Pakistan in October.

On July 14, a security delegation from Transport Canada will arrive in Karachi as part of the country’s airport security evaluation. The delegation will assess the security conditions at the airports in Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore in addition to thoroughly inspecting the direct flights from Pakistan to Canada.

In terms of security concerns, the Canadian delegation will examine passenger, luggage screening, cargo, and catering security.

Checks will also be made on the sources’ stated control, aviation security, and other relevant protocols. The sources went on to say that the Canadian delegation will also receive briefings on a variety of topics from the CAA and other pertinent organisations.

In an effort to guarantee efficient service delivery and raise the bar for the nation’s aviation industry in order to match international standards and allow PIA flights to the US, UK, and Europe to resume, the previous coalition government passed laws and ordinances.
