The Punjab Development Authority (PDA) has been approved by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, who has also requested a list of all illegal housing plans in Lahore.
During her visit to the LDA headquarters here on Friday, she stated, “Every housing scheme will be reviewed and [it will be] decided whether to regularise it or not.”
Additionally, the CM gave the go-ahead for the renovation and beautification of MM Alam Road and instructed the relevant authorities to run a tram in the regions of Liberty, Main Market, Mini Market, and Hali Road.
She also gave the go-ahead for the installation of tuff tiles and the building, remodelling and restoration of roadways in Gulberg and the surrounding districts.
The Karim Block to Motorway Signal-Free Corridor Plan, which called for building two underpasses on a six-way road connecting Karim Block to the motorway, was approved by her.

She also ordered the early completion of the sports facilities at Minar-i-Pakistan and China Scheme, and permitted the commercialization of a number of Lahore’s highways.
LDA Director General Tahir Farooq had earlier presented a briefing regarding the organization’s performance and ongoing projects.
In comparison to last year, LDA “will collect many times more revenue this financial year,” he declared. He said the LDA has set a revenue target of Rs 46 billion.
