Under the PERIDOT Research Program, a collaborative effort between Pakistan and France, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) is accepting proposals from faculty members in Pakistan at all public and private universities.
Under the Franco-Pakistani Hubert Curien Partnership (PHC) Program, known as PERIDOT, cooperative research efforts between French and Pakistani scholars are facilitated. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs & International Development (MAEDI) and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESRI) in France jointly oversee the initiative, which is carried out by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in Pakistan.
By promoting researcher mobility between France and Pakistan, the program seeks to establish new scientific and technological collaboration between research institutes and higher education establishments in both nations. Three mobility agreements were approved in the program’s final phase, which concluded in 2023 after it was first launched in 2014.
What you should know about the PERIDOT Research Program is as follows:
Merit-based, impartial, and open selection procedures will be used to choose the recipients of PERIDOT awards. Research proposals are being invited in the three areas listed below:
Climate change, sustainable energy, and the environment.
Health, Agriculture, and Food Security.
Social sciences and humanities.
Note: There will be a special encouragement for projects addressing environmental and social difficulties.

October 1, 2024, is the deadline for program applications.
The Application Process of PERIDOT in France:
The Campus France website will receive a single application for a collaborative initiative.
Since the online process is in French, candidates should create a single, joint English application. The aforementioned website will receive an application from the French principal investigator (PI).

Pakistan’s Procedure for Application
Via the HEC web portal, applicants can submit their applications online.
In the document area, applicants must upload the completed joint application that they previously filed via the Campus France portal.
