Longest Day of 2025
Islamabad / Karachi / Lahore: According to astronomers, today, June 21, will be the longest day and shortest night of this year 2025.
The sun will shine for 13 hours and 41 minutes today, while the night duration will be 10 hours and 19 minutes.
Astronomers say that after July 1, the duration of the day will gradually start decreasing, and on September 22, the duration of the day and night will be almost equal.
Meanwhile, light drizzle in Karachi this morning made the weather pleasant. According to the Meteorological Department, cloudy weather is likely to remain in the city throughout the day, while light rain may also occur at intervals.
The weather has also taken a turn in Lahore, the clouds have set up camp, and the prevailing wind has reduced the intensity of the heat.
Rain late at night in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and surrounding areas broke the heat.
According to the Meteorological Department, thundershowers have been predicted in Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Jhang, Sargodha, Narowal, Peshawar, Mardan, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Swabi, Haripur, as well as Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next 24 hours.
This pleasant change in weather has come as a relief to the citizens, especially on a day when the sun will illuminate the earth for the longest time.
