Government Increases Prices of Petroleum Products Significantly
The federal government has significantly raised the prices of petroleum products, increasing the price of petrol to PKR 258.43 per liter. According to a statement issued by the Finance Division, this hike was made based on recommendations from OGRA and the relevant ministries.
The statement mentioned that the new prices will take effect immediately and will remain valid for the next 15 days.
The price of petrol has been increased by PKR 4.80 per liter, raising it from PKR 253.63 to PKR 258.43. Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel has been increased by PKR 7.95 per liter, bringing its price from PKR 254.64 to PKR 262.59.
