Quetta Green Bus Project Expands, Turbat to Launch Service
The sixth meeting of the Public Private Partnership Unit was held under the chairmanship of Provincial Minister for Finance and Minerals Mir Shoaib Noshirwani and Minister for Planning and Development Mir Zahoor Buledi.
In which Secretary Transport Muhammad Hayat Kakar, Special Secretary Finance Jahangir Kakar, and other officials also participated.
Addressing the participants, Provincial Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Noshirwani said that the government gives priority to the welfare and provision of facilities to the people; therefore, the provincial government under the leadership of Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti is striving to provide other basic facilities,s including health.
In this regard, various projects are being finalized across the province under a public-private partnership.
He said that projects under public-private partnership are long-lasting and sustainable for the public interest. The meeting unanimously approved the increase in the number of buses of the Green Bus Project Quetta, while the start of the Green Bus Project in Turbat city was also approved.
In addition, it was proposed to give the Fatima Jinnah Municipal Girls High School to a non-governmental partner on a voluntary basis so that educational quality and administrative efficiency can be improved.
On this occasion, Provincial Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Noshirwani said that the Balochistan government considers the public-private partnership model as an effective tool for modern travel facilities and improvement in the education sector.
The Green Bus Project is an important step towards convenient and environmentally friendly transportation for the people.
The government is making every effort to take such projects forward on a sustainable basis. On this occasion, Provincial Minister for Planning and Development Mir Zahoor Buledi said that transparency, better quality, and speed are being ensured in development projects with the participation of the private sector.
The launch of the green bus service in Turbat will benefit the local population, while a non-governmental partnership for the improvement of educational institutions can become a successful experience.
The government is following a comprehensive strategy for improvement in all sectors and is trying to activate various types of projects under public-private partnerships.
