Balochistan government decides to run Sariab-Kuchlak People’s Train
Quetta: The Balochistan government has announced to start “People’s Train” service in collaboration with Pakistan Railways to provide quality, affordable, and comfortable travel facilities to the people.
This train will initially run between Sariab and Kuchlak. The project was approved in a meeting chaired by Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti
It was agreed to make this project feasible in collaboration with Pakistan Railways and the Balochistan Transport Department.
According to the decision, five old stations of Pakistan Railways will be upgraded to modern lines while two new stations will be constructed. Upgrading the track will significantly improve the speed and quality of the train.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said that the People’s Train will provide ease of daily transportation, time saving, and safe travel to the citizens of Quetta and surrounding areas.
He further said: This project is the realization of the dream of public convenience, affordable transport, and a modern travel system.
The Chief Minister assured that the railway stations will be equipped with modern facilities so that a safe and dignified environment can be provided to the passengers.
