Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the venue for future talks between Pakistan and India will be decided in Saudi Arabia or the United Arab Emirates, while the US will play a key role in these talks.
The Prime Minister said that during the war, Israeli officials were present in India, but by the grace of God, Pakistan emerged victorious.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said this while talking to senior journalists in Islamabad. He clarified that Pakistan did not request a ceasefire at any stage, if it had been so, the international community would have definitely mentioned it.
He said that in the talks between the DG Military Operations of both countries, it was decided that the forces would return to their pre-war positions, but no time frame was given for this.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan will be represented in the talks by the National Security Advisor and DG ISI.
He said that our army fought fiercely at a check post in Pasrur, one soldier and eight civilians were martyred, but our soldiers did not back down and fought till the end.
In response to a question, the Prime Minister said that there are reports that Israeli personnel were present in India during the war, however, we achieved successes in our defense and used the “Jwal Fateh” missile in the counterattack on India, which is a weapon developed by Pakistan.
He said that the Army Chief led the entire war from the front, which is why he was given the rank of Field Marshal. The Prime Minister laughed and said, “Call me a political Field Marshal.”
The Prime Minister revealed that when the preparations for the attack were complete by India, the Army Chief called in an angry tone at 2:30 am. I replied to him that India should respond and move forward.
We destroyed six Indian aircraft and drones, even targeting their SU-400 system.
He said that we could have shot down more Indian aircraft but we showed patience and restraint so that the fire of war did not increase. Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan offered the world to conduct an impartial investigation into the Pahalgam attack, and the world accepted our offer.
