Receiving Field Marshal Rank A Matter Of Pride: General Asim Munir
ISLAMABAD: Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir, while responding to the highest military honor of Field Marshal, thanked Allah Almighty and dedicated it to the entire nation, the Armed Forces of Pakistan, especially the martyrs and ghazis.
He said: “This honor is not for me, but for the Armed Forces of Pakistan, civil and military martyrs, ghazis and the entire nation.”
Field Marshal Asim Munir thanked the President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister and the federal cabinet for the trust and said that this is a national trust, for which millions of Asims can be sacrificed.
He said that the sacrifices of the Pakistani Armed Forces are a bright chapter in history, and this honor is a recognition of all those who have sacrificed their lives for the country.
Field Marshal Asim Munir’s message has come out as a symbol of determination, gratitude and national unity, which was greatly appreciated by both the people and the armed forces.
