Pak-China Talks Conclude With Stronger Partnership
ISLAMABAD: High-level formal talks between Pakistan and China have been concluded in which both countries have agreed to further strengthen the bilateral strategic partnership.
Pakistan was represented in the talks by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, while the Chinese delegation was led by Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
The Pakistani delegation also included Ambassador Khalil Hashmi and Additional Foreign Secretary Imran Siddiqui.
According to sources, the meeting discussed in detail the Pakistan-China strategic relations, the regional situation, and issues of mutual interest. On this occasion, Ishaq Dar apprised China of the recent tensions with India and rejected India’s “false narrative”.
The two sides emphasized that the partnership between Pakistan and China is based on mutual trust and cooperation, which is key to peace and stability in the region.
At the end of the meeting, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi also hosted a lavish dinner in honor of the Pakistani delegation.
