Pakistan Rejects Indian Claims Of Golden Temple Attack

Pakistan has strongly rejected the allegations of India’s attempt to target the Golden Temple, calling them completely baseless and fabricated.

A senior Indian Army officer had claimed that Pakistan attempted to attack the Sikh holy site of the Golden Temple using drones and missiles on the intervening night of May 7-8, 2025. In response to this allegation, the Foreign Office spokesperson made it clear that Pakistan not only rejects these allegations but also condemns them.

The spokesperson said, “Pakistan is the custodian of the holiest sites of the Sikh religion, and welcomes thousands of Sikh pilgrims from all over the world every year. Pakistan has demonstrated its practical commitment by providing visa-free access through the Kartarpur Corridor.”

The Foreign Office spokesperson further said that this allegation by India is actually an attempt to divert the world’s attention from its aggression of targeting various places of worship in Pakistan on the intervening night of May 6-7.

“Any allegation regarding the targeting of the Golden Temple is completely baseless, false and contrary to reality,” he stressed. “Pakistan firmly believes in respecting and protecting the religious sites of minorities.”
