Blast Near MPA Ali Madad Jatak’s Convoy in Quetta
A bomb blast occurred near the convoy of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA), Ali Madad Jatak, on Saryab Road in Quetta. According to police, the MPA remained unharmed in the explosion.
One person was killed while ten others sustained injuries. The injured were initially shifted to the emergency department of Civil Hospital Quetta and later moved to the Trauma Center for further treatment.
Police stated that Ali Madad Jatak was on his way to a victory celebration at the Hockey Ground, where an event was being held to celebrate Pakistan’s win against India. Following the blast, security at the Hockey Ground has been tightened significantly.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
Meanwhile, according to a statement issued by the Balochistan Health Department, 11 people injured in the Munir Mengal Road blast were brought to the Civil Hospital Accident and Trauma Center.
It was further informed that after providing initial medical aid to the injured in the accident department, they were shifted to the trauma center for further treatment. In contrast, one injured person died during treatment.
Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has condemned the attack on the convoy of Haji Ali Madad Jatak, saying that attacks on public leadership are attacks on the peace of Balochistan.
Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said that such cowardly acts cannot shake our collective willpower; strict and fruitful action will be taken against the elements hostile to peace.
The Balochistan Chief Minister said that the elements disrupting peace will be exposed, and the people and elected representatives deserve complete protection.

The Balochistan government condemned the attack on the convoy of Haji Ali Madad Jatak and sought a report.
Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind said that the attack on the convoy of Haji Ali Madad Jatak is a cowardly act, attacks on elected representatives are tantamount to an attack on the democratic system.
He said that the attackers will be brought to justice, and the suppression of elements active against law and order is inevitable.
