Rawalpindi: Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, addressed a joint press conference alongside officials from the Pakistan Air Force and Navy.
He stated that the Pakistan Armed Forces have fulfilled the promise made to the nation in response to Indian aggression. “India violated Pakistani airspace through drone incursions and targeted innocent civilians, including women and children, in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. In response, Pakistan launched Operation Bunyan Mursas, targeting 26 Indian military sites used in attacks against Pakistan.”
Paying tribute to the martyrs, DG ISPR said, “We salute those who sacrificed their lives in the defense of the homeland. Our response was timely, calculated, and powerful. We promised the nation three things: that there would be a response, the time and method would be chosen by us, and when it happens, not only Indian media but the world would notice it.”
He revealed that Pakistan successfully targeted key Indian military installations in locations including Uri, Poonch, Suratgarh, Sirsa, Adampur, Awantipora, Udhampur, and Pathankot. Two of India’s S-400 air defense systems were also hit. “Our forces showed great restraint and accuracy while utilizing only a fraction of our advanced military technology,” he added.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif highlighted that cyber operations were also carried out, disabling systems used by the Indian military. “India is actively involved in sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan, especially in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. We have concrete evidence of this.”
Referring to the media’s role, he said: “While Indian media spread disinformation, Pakistani media stood firm and reported responsibly.”
DG ISPR concluded that any future act of aggression will be met with a comprehensive, decisive, and forceful response. “We are grateful to the people, the armed forces, and the political leadership for standing united in defense of the motherland.”
