No Compromise on Sovereignty: COAS
Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir has made it clear that Pakistan wants peace in the region,
However, there will be no compromise on national security and sovereignty. If anyone challenges Pakistan’s sovereignty, it will be given a befitting reply.
According to the ISPR, the Army Chief met the participants of the 15th National Workshop Balochistan held at GHQ Rawalpindi.
This workshop has been held since 2016 to provide guidance and raise awareness on national and provincial issues.
Speaking, General Asim Munir said that the ongoing development projects in Balochistan are key to the welfare of the people.
The propaganda, da against development is baseless and the facts are evident from the success of these projects. Civil society is playing an important role in raising awareness among the youth.
The Army Chief further said that external terrorism is a serious threat to the security and development of Balochistan. Enemy elements want to spread fear and chaos in the province, but we will not let thesucceedc e, ed.
Terrorism has no religion, sect or nation, and we will fight it with national unity. Those who commit terrorismagainstf Baloch identity are actually a stain on Baloch pride.
He stressed that Pakistan wants peace, but there is no compromise on security. If there is any attack on national sovereignty, a strong and effective response will be given.
According to the ISPR, the Pakistani armed forces and law enforcement agencies will continue their war against terrorism with the support of the people. The workshop concluded with a detailed open question-and-answer session.
