IMF Orders Exit Of Provincial Projects From Federal Purse
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has demanded the removal of provincial development projects from the development budget.
The federation should not spend the development budget on provincial projects transferred after the 18th Amendment.
According to sources, the federation is forced to withdraw 168 provincial development projects from the federal budget in the upcoming budget.
The cost of 168 provincial development projects is Rs 1,100 billion, while the federation has already spent Rs 300 billion.
The IMF has stopped further spending on 168 provincial projects.
The federation was supposed to spend another Rs 800 billion to complete these projects, but now 168 provincial projects can be completed from the provincial development budget.
