Pakistan, UAE Seal Billion-Dollar Partnership Deals

Islamabad: MoUs were signed in several important areas to promote bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

On this occasion, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar,r anthe d UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahya,n attended the signing ceremony.

The prime ministers of the two countries also exchangememorandams of understanding at the ceremony. The important agreements include agreements on cultural cooperation between the National Heritage and Culture Division of Pakistan and the Ministry of Culture of the UAE, establishment of a joint committee for consular affairs, and establishment of a UAE-Pakistan Joint Business Council.

This business council will be established between the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the UAE Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Earlier, UAE Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived at the Foreign Office, where he was warmly welcomed by Ishaq Dar and introduced the delegation. Later, a grand reception was also held in his honor at the Foreign Office.

In his address, Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan and the UAE have long-standing brotherly relations, which need to be further promoted.

He expressed the hope that Sheikh Abdullah’s visit to Pakistan will prove to be an important milestone in the relations between the two countries.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan thanked the Pakistani leadership for the hospitality and said that relations with Pakistan will be further strengthened.

He said that the people of Pakistan are playing a significant role in the development of the UA,E and cooperation between the two countries in the fields of trade and investment will also be promoted.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan is on a two-day official visit to Pakistan.
