Team Spirit Drills Enhance Professional Excellence: Gen Asim Munir

To showcase the professionalism of the Pakistan Army, the 8th International Pakistan Army Team Spirit Competition was successfully held at Kharian Garrison

, the closing ceremony of which was attended by Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir as the chief guest.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the objective of this 60-hour long patrolling exercise was to hone combat skills, physical fitness and decision-making capabilities. The exercise was conducted in the semi-mountainous areas of Punjab, where a high level of strategy, coordination and teamwork was demonstrated in severe weather conditions.

Seven teams from the Pakistan Army, one team from the Pakistan Navy and 15 teams from friendly countries participated in this international competition, including important countries like China, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Turkey, Bahrain, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Maldives, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Morocco.

In addition, military observers from Bangladesh, Egypt, Germany, Thailand, Myanmar and Kenya observed the exercise. International observers, defense attachés and military representatives also attended the closing ceremony and highly appreciated the professional standards of the Pakistan Army.

General Asim Munir said in his address that such exercises not only promote professional skills but also provide an opportunity for the armies of different countries to learn from each other’s experiences.

He said that the Pakistan Army has always demonstrated character, courage and skill and these exercises clearly reflect the determination and courage of our forces.

Finally, the Army Chief distributed individual and team awards among the participants who showed excellent performance.
