Uraan-e-Pakistan is a New Milestone in Balochistan’s Development: Zahoor Buledi
Quetta: Senior Minister for Planning & Development, Balochistan, Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buled, has termed the federal government’s “Uraan-e-Pakistan” program and the recent visit of Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal to Quetta as a practical and visionary step toward the progress of Balochistan. He stated that this is not a fanciful slogan, but a comprehensive roadmap rooted in strategy, intent, and actionable steps — one that will lead Balochistan towards economic self-reliance, improved governance, and sustainable development.
Mir Zahoor Buledi noted that Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal’s sincere commitment to Balochistan’s development sends a strong and positive message that the federal government now views Balochistan as central to national progress. A visionary initiative like “Uraan-e-Pakistan” lays the foundation for turning Balochistan into a more connected, forward-looking, and integrated province.
He emphasized that the Balochistan Planning & Development Department has undergone key reforms in recent months, the results of which are becoming visible. These include:
Transparent, merit-based, and efficient use of development funds Approval of an Export Development Board to boost Balochistan’s role in national exports Activation of Special Industrial Zones, which previously remained only on paper Provision of educational scholarships to youth from 12 underdeveloped districts, enabling them to access national institutions Completion of landmark projects like the Kachhi Canal, which is paving the way for an agricultural transformation
Mir Zahoor Buledi stated that Balochistan is no longer relying on short-term relief or symbolic measures. The province is moving toward a balanced development model based on planning and public-private partnerships. He added that the federal government’s support is encouraging and its benefits will reach the common citizens of Balochistan.
He said, “Uraan-e-Pakistan is not just a slogan for Balochistan, but it is a powerful vision that will make us self-reliant and dignified in economy, industry, education, and employment.”
