Migrant Boat Capsizes in Libya, 11 Killed
Another migrant boat capsized in Libya, and 11 bodies were recovered, four of whom have been identified as Pakistanis.
A report sent by the Pakistani Embassy in Libya to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the boat accident occurred on April 12 near the city of Siret in eastern Libya off the Harawa Coast.
Eleven bodies have been recovered from the accident site so far, four of whom are Pakistanis. A team from the Pakistani Embassy visited Siret to obtain information about the incident and identified four bodies as Pakistanis from national records.
Three of them are from Mandi Bahauddin, and one is from Gujranwala. According to the report, Zahid Mahmood, son of Liaquat Ali, is from Gujranwala, while Sameer Ali A, li son of Raja Abdul Qadeer, Syed Ali Hussain, son of oShafqat Al-Hussain in, and Asif Ali A, li son of Nazar Muham, Mad, are from Mandi Bahauddin.
In addition, two bodies have not yet been identified, and five of the bodies are of Egyptian citizens.
