27 Balochistan Students Receiving World-class Mineral Training: Army Chief

The Army Chief has said that there is no room for despair in such a situation as the Pakistani people have mineral reserves under their feet and expertise in their hands.

Addressing the Pakistan Mineral Investment Forum 2025, General Syed Asim Munir said that I firmly believe that Pakistan is ready to emerge as a global leader in the mineral economy.

We welcome international organizations to enlighten Pakistan with their expertise, find investment opportunities and partner with us in promoting and developing the vast resource potential.

General Syed Asim Munir said that engineers, geologists, operators and many expert miners are needed to extract Pakistan’s mineral wealth, which is why we are also sending students abroad for training to develop this sector. Currently, 27 students from Balochistan are undergoing training in mineral exploration in Zambia and Argentina.

General Asim Munir said that our aim is also to create manpower, expertise and human resources for the mineral sector. Economic security has emerged as an important component of national security. The Pakistan Army will ensure a robust security framework and proactive measures to protect the interests and trust of its partners and investors.

Pakistan Can Say Goodbye to IMF Thanks to Its Mineral Reserves, PM

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the country’s mineral reserves are worth trillions of dollars and Pakistan can say goodbye to IMF by benefiting from these mineral reserves.

Addressing the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum 2025 in Islamabad, the Prime Minister said that the forum will lead to an increase in investment in the mineral sector and further increase investor confidence.

He said that there are vast mineral reserves in the mountains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan, while the lands of Sindh and Punjab are also rich in natural resources. Azad Kashmir also has immense treasures of nature.

The Prime Minister said that the progress in the Reko Diq project is encouraging, mining in Balochistan will create employment opportunities and socio-economic development. Investment in the mineral sector is beneficial for everyone.

He said that nature has enriched Pakistan with natural resources. Pakistan has the world’s largest coal reserves and the Sindh government is working hard to benefit from the coal reserves. We are saving valuable foreign exchange by relying on local instead of imported coal.

Shahbaz Sharif said that we have to promote exports by adding value to products and will ensure the export of finished products instead of raw materials.

Welcoming all the delegates, the Prime Minister said that he congratulates the organizers on the successful holding of the forum. He said that Pakistan welcomes investors from the Gulf countries, China, Europe, America and other regions.
