Blast in South Waziristan Mosque, JUI Leader Injured

A bomb blast has taken place in Azam Warsak Bazaar in Lower South Waziristan, in which several people, including JUI leader Maulana Abdullah Nadeem, have been injured, and there are fears of casualties.

The blast took place inside the mosque. Police sources say that the blast targeted Maulana Abdullah Nadeem, the preacher of the mosque and the Ameer of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Wana.

Several people, including Maulana Abdullah Nadeem, were injured in the blast. There are fears of casualties as the condition of some of the injured is very critical.

It should be noted that Maulana Abdullah Nadeem was previously attacked with a remote-controlled bomb at Kalusha in which he was injured.

DPO Lower Waziristan Asif Bahadur says that it happened inside the Maulana Abdul Aziz Mosque in Azam Warsak area of ​​Lower Waziristan.

A remote-controlled bomb was placed near the mihrab in the mosque. The explosion took place shortly before prayers.

And the District Ameer of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam South Waziristan Lower Maulana Abdullah Nadeem was targeted. So far, 4 injured people have been brought in, including Maulana Abdullah Nadeem.

According to the DPO, rescue operations have begun after the explosion. The injured are being shifted tothe  District Headquarters Hospital Wana.

Earlier, a massive bomb blast took place in Darul Uloom Haqqania Akora Khattak on February 28 immediately after Friday prayers, in which 6 people, including Maulana Hamidul Haq, the head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Samiul Haq Group), were martyred and 15 were injured.
