President to Address Parliament Today
President Asif Ali Zardari will address a joint session of Parliament at 3 pm today.
On this occasion, the opposition has planned a full-scale protest, while the government has prepared a plan to deal with the possible protests of the opposition.
The agenda of the joint session of the Senate and the National Assembly has been released. President Asif Ali Zardari will address a joint session of both houses today at the beginning of the new parliamentary year.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will welcome the President, while the Speaker and Chairman Senate will welcome President Asif Zardari on his arrival at Parliament House.
Before his address, the President will meet the Prime Minister in the Speaker’s Chamber. Strict security arrangements have been made for the joint session.
Guests will be banned from entering Parliament House. Invitations have been sent to the heads of armed forces, foreign ambassadors, governors, and provincial chief ministers.
President Asif Ali Zardari will cover the coalition government’s performance in one year in his address. Apart from the President’s address, there will be no further proceedings in the House.
The session will be adjourned indefinitely as soon as President Zardari’s address is completed.
President Asif Ali Zardari’s address will cover various aspects of foreign affairs, politics, the country’s economy and public welfare.
The address will also highlight the achievements of government and military institutions. This will be the President’s second address to the parliament in less than a year.
The second parliamentary year will begin with the President’s address. The opposition has planned to protest during the President’s address.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman has also returned home after performing Umrah. The government has also prepared a plan to deal with the opposition’s protests.
According to sources, Asad Qaiser has conveyed a special message from PTI founder Maulana Fazlur Rehman to PTI. PTI wants to involve JUI in the protest during the President’s address.
