Bannu Cantt Attack: 15 Civilians Martyred, 25 Injured
Bannu: After Iftar, terrorists attempted to attack Bannu Cantt, however, security forces took timely action and killed 6 terrorists, while 15 civilians were martyred and 25 injured in the attack.
According to security sources, the terrorists rammed two explosive-laden vehicles into the wall of the cantt.
Due to the retaliatory action of the forces, the attackers panicked and crashed their vehicles into the wall.
As a result of the explosions, a nearby mosque and houses were damaged, and civilians were injured when the roofs of several buildings collapsed.
According to DHQ Hospital spokesperson Dr. Noman, 4 children and 2 women are among the martyrs, while 25 people have been shifted to the hospital in an injured condition.
The Prime Minister strongly condemned the attack and expressed condolences to the families of the martyrs and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation and operations are underway to nab the remaining terrorists involved in the attack.

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif paid tribute to the security forces for foiling the Khawarij attack on Bannu Cantt and destroying the terrorists.
The Prime Minister, while appreciating the security personnel who bravely confronted the terrorists, said that the security forces had foiled the evil intentions of the enemy.
Expressing deep sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of innocent civilians in the attack, he prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and for patience for their families. The Prime Minister prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and directed to provide them with the best medical facilities.
The Prime Minister further said that the cowardly terrorists who targeted innocent civilians during the holy month of Ramadan do not deserve any concessions.
The Khawarij sedition is the enemy of Pakistan and its people, whose evil intentions will never be allowed to succeed.
He expressed his determination that the war will continue until the complete suppression of the Khawarij sedition and the entire nation stands by its security forces.

He expressed deep sorrow and regret over the loss of precious human lives in the attack and expressed heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of the martyrs.
The Interior Minister prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and said that the government stands with the families of the martyrs in this hour of sorrow.
