Three Explosions Hit Bannu Cantonment
Bannu: Three loud explosions were heard near Bannu Cantt, after which there were reports of heavy firing in the area. Immediately after the explosions, security forces surrounded the area and started firing in the air.
Nature of the explosions and possible damage
According to sources, one of the explosions was a suicide attack while the other was carried out by a vehicle laden with explosives. Police officials say that the nature of the explosions is being further examined and investigations are underway.
According to eyewitnesses, nearby houses were damaged after the explosions, while clouds of smoke were seen rising in the air. The intensity of the explosions was so high that their sounds were heard from far away.
Immediate action by security forces
After the explosions, security forces have surrounded the area and started a search operation. Aerial firing is also underway to bring the possible attackers under control.
