Heavy Rain & Snowfall Hit KP, GB & Balochistan
Rain, thunderstorm, wind, and snowfall in the mountains are expected in KP, Gilgit-Baltistan, central Punjab, Kashmir, and northern Balochistan today.
Heavy rain and snowfall are expected in the upper areas of KP and Kashmir. The weather is likely to remain cold and dry in other parts of the country.
According to the Meteorological Department, mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country on March 4, 2025.
However, locally partly cloudy weather is expected in the upper areas of KP, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir with rain, wind, thunderstorm, wind, and light snowfall in the mountains.
Light rain is possible in the Pothohar region and Islamabad in the morning hours.
Mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. However, the intensity of cold is likely to persist in the higher areas.
PDMA Punjab alert
PDMA Punjab has issued an alert about rains. It has said that rains are predicted in most districts of the province during Ramadan from March 2 to 4.
Snowfall and rain are predicted in Murree, Galiyat and other mountainous areas.
DG PDMA Irfan Ali Kathia has directed the commissioners and deputy commissioners to remain alert.
An alert has also been issued to WASA, Rescue, Irrigation Department, Livestock and other related departments.
Rains are also likely in Jhelum, Rawalpindi Chakwal, Attock, Mianwali, Khushab, Sargodha, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujarat, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Narowal, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Khanewal, Layyah, Bhakkar, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal and Pakpattan.
Citizens are requested to avoid unnecessary travel in bad weather conditions.
