Pakistan, Azerbaijan Agree On Increased Cooperation, Sign Agreements

Pakistan and Azerbaijan have agreed to increase cooperation in various sectors including trade and defense, and several agreements and MoUs have been signed in this regard.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met President Ilham Aliyev at the Presidential Palace in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, in which it was agreed to increase cooperation between the two countries in many sectors including trade, defense, climate change and education.

Several agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) were also signed between Pakistan and Azerbaijan at the ceremony.

On this occasion, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that there are numerous opportunities available to promote cooperation between the trade and economic sectors in the two countries, while the projects discussed today,

will be finalized within a month. He termed the recent agreements as important developments for both countries.

Addressing the ceremony, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that joint projects of mutual interest between Pakistan and Azerbaijan will prove beneficial for the people of both sides.

The agreements reached between the two countries have been agreed to be finalized within a month.

Prime Minister receives a grand welcome at the Presidential Palace of Azerbaijan; Guard of Honor
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was given a grand welcome upon his arrival at the Presidential Palace in Azerbaijan.

On this occasion, he was presented with a guard of honor, while the national anthems of both countries were also played.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev welcomed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to the Presidential Palace, where important bilateral talks were held between the two leaders, in which discussions were held on further enhancing cooperation in the trade, energy and defense sectors.

A guard of honor ceremony was held outside the Presidential Palace in the capital Baku on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s arrival, in which the national anthems of both countries were played.

On this occasion, senior Azerbaijani officials and the Pakistani delegation were present at the ceremony despite the bad weather, where the distinguished guest was warmly welcomed.

The Pakistani delegation, along with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, includes Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and other ministers.

During the important visit, several memorandums of understanding and agreements were signed between the two countries.

It should be noted that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will also address a business forum in addition to meeting with the President of Azerbaijan,

in which he will emphasize strengthening economic and trade relations between the two countries.
