PM Shehbaz Embarks on a Two-Day Official Visit to Azerbaijan

Lahore: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has departed for Azerbaijan on an official visit.

At the invitation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will undertake a two-day official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan from February 24 to 25, 2025.

This marks his second visit to Azerbaijan since assuming office as Prime Minister in March 2024. He is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, along with Federal Ministers Jam Kamal Khan, Abdul Aleem Khan, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.

During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will hold a bilateral meeting with the Azerbaijani President and address a business forum. Discussions will focus on mutual areas of interest, particularly in energy, trade, defense, education, and climate cooperation. Several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements will also be signed between the two countries.

The visit reflects Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening ties with Azerbaijan, enhancing economic cooperation, and exploring new opportunities for mutual development and partnership.
