Polio Campaign: 41 Million Kids Vaccinated in 4 Days
The first national polio eradication campaign of 2025 is underway across the country. More than 41 million children have been administered polio drops in the first 4 days.
According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, the national polio campaign will continue till February 9, parents are requested to ensure that their children are given polio drops during the polio campaign.
Coordinator for Health Dr. Mukhtar Bharath has said that polio workers are heroes of the nation, we pay tribute to their services.
The public should fully support the government in its efforts to eradicate polio. This war cannot be won without the help of parents and civil society.
Dr. Mukhtar Bharath further said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, there is a firm commitment to eradicate polio.
Work is underway under a coordinated strategy for polio eradication. All stakeholders are ensuring serious steps to eradicate polio from the country.
He said that steps are being taken in high-risk areas through a special strategy. On the instructions of the Prime Minister, I visited the field to review the campaign in Balochistan.
The Government of Pakistan is taking all possible steps to ensure the safety of polio workers. Let us play our key role in eradicating the polio virus.
