Chinese media has confirmed the launch of Pakistan’s first indigenously developed satellite into space.
Chinese media reported that the satellite was launched from China’s Jichuan Satellite Launch Center.
According to a Suparco spokesperson, Pakistan’s Indigenous satellite EO-1 is a significant step in space development and is designed to help in disaster response, agriculture, and urban planning.
The Suparco spokesperson said that the satellite will also be used to support food security and water management and will enhance the monitoring of natural resources across the country.
