Register VPN Now With a Mobile Number
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has introduced virtual private network (VPN) registration through mobile numbers.
PTA says that freelancers who do not have a static IP address will be able to register through a mobile number, freelancers can register mobile numbers to use VPN on mobile data connection.
According to PTA, more than 31,000 VPNs have been registered so far, the move has been taken to promote the IT sector and make VPN registration easier.
What is a VPN?
A VPN helps you establish a secure network connection using public networks.
A VPN encrypts your internet traffic and hides your online identity.
Using a VPN makes it very difficult for third parties to track your online activities or steal data.
How does that VPN work?
A VPN hides your IP address and redirects your network traffic to a special remote server run by a VPN host.
This means that when you surf online through a VPN, the VPN server becomes the source of your data.
This way, your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and other third parties can’t see what websites you’re visiting or what data you’re sending and receiving online.
Essentially, a VPN acts like a filter, converting all of your data into an unintelligible form.
Even if someone were to gain access to your data, it would be useless to them.
