Pakistan defeated Zimbabwe by 10 wickets in the second ODI to level the three-match series at 1-1. Saim Ayub scored a century.

In the second ODI of the three-match ODI series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe in Bulawayo, the Green Shirts easily defeated the visiting team by 10 wickets.

Chasing a target of 146 runs set by Zimbabwe, Pakistan’s openers achieved it in the 19th over. Saim Ayub scored the first century of his ODI career and played a major role in the team’s victory.

The young opener played an unbeaten smoky innings of 113 runs off 62 balls. It included 3 sixes and 17 fours.

Abdullah Shafiq also supported him well and kept one end in check. He scored 32 runs not out.

Earlier, thanks to the excellent performance of Pakistani spinners, the entire Zimbabwe team was bowled out for 145 runs in 32.3 overs. Devon Myers scored 33 and Sean Williams scored 31 runs.

The spinners took 9 wickets for Zimbabwe while one player was run out. Abrar Ahmed made his debut memorable by taking four wickets in the first match.

Salman Ali Agha took three wickets. Saim Ayub and Faisal Akram dismissed one player each.

Two changes were made to the Pakistan team for today’s match. Haseebullah and Muhammad Hasnain were dropped and Tayyab Tahir and spinner Abrar Ahmed were given their ODI debuts.

Saim Ayub was declared the player of the match for his all-round performance.

With this win, the three-match series was level at one. The final and deciding match will be played on November 28 at the same ground.

It should be noted that Zimbabwe won the first match of the three-match series, which was affected by rain, by 80 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis system.
