5 Soldiers Martyred In Kurram Attack: ISPR

Rawalpindi: A security forces vehicle was hit by a landmine blast in the Karam district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as a result of which five soldiers were martyred.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), on June 21, a landmine exploded on a security forces vehicle in the Sada general area of ​​Kurram district, in which five soldiers were martyred.

The martyred include Havaldar Aqeel Ahmed, Lance Naik Mohammad Tafeer, Sepoy Anush Rafoon, Sepoy Muhammad Azam Khan, and Sepoy Haroon William.
According to ISPR, the martyrs embraced martyrdom while giving eternal sacrifice for the sake of the country. In a statement issued by the spokesperson of the Pakistan Army, it has been stated that a clearance operation is underway in the area to eliminate the terrorists present in the area.

The statement said that the perpetrators of heinous acts like the attack will be brought to justice while the security forces are determined to end the menace of terrorism and the sacrifices of the brave soldiers strengthen our resolve.

On the other hand, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the IED explosion near the vehicle of the security forces, expressed regret over the martyrdom of five military personnel, and paid tribute to their sacrifices.

Expressing heartfelt sympathy and condolence to the families of the martyrs, the Interior Minister said that the great sacrifices of the martyrs will always be remembered. I do not think, the nation is committed to the complete elimination of the scourge of terrorism.
