The membership of Balochistan Chief Minister, Sarfraz Bugti, has been challenged by Nawabzada Ghoram Bugti of the Jamhuri Watan Party. The petition filed states that Mir Sarfaraz Bugti was not eligible to contest the election while being a part of the caretaker cabinet. However, he resigned after appointing a polling staff of his choice and contested the election,
where the rate was 80 to 99 percent. It is impossible for 99 percent casting to occur anywhere, and the thumbs should be verified. Therefore, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti was not eligible to contest the election, and hence, he should not hold the membership of the Balochistan Assembly. As a result, the seat was immediately declared vacant, and a by-election has been requested
