The government of Punjab has announced the construction of a state-of-the-art cancer hospital named “The Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cancer Treatment and Research”. The Finance Minister, Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman revealed in the budget speech that the hospital will be built for 30 billion rupees.
An amount of Rs. 50 crore has been allocated in the budget for the last three months of the current financial year for the establishment of the hospital. Additionally, a modern and high-quality cardiology hospital called “Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology” will be built in Sargodha city for Rs. 10 billion.
An amount of 20 crore rupees has been set aside for the hospital of heart diseases in the last three months of the current financial year. Furthermore, a significant amount of 10 billion rupees has been allocated for the PKLI endowment fund in the current financial year
