A passenger bus coming from Kahota to Rawalpindi met with an accident as a result of which 29 people died and one person was injured.
According to local sources, a bus coming from Haveli Kahota to Rawalpindi fell into a ditch, 29 people died and one was injured in the accident. According to local sources, the passenger bus accident happened near Panah Bridge, but the reasons are unknown. Sources say that due to the hilly area, the local people took the dead and injured from the bus with their help.
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has expressed sympathy and condolence to the bereaved families while lamenting the loss of precious human lives due to the bus falling into the ditch near Kahota. Speaking to Geo News, SHO Than Kahota Muhammad Zaka said that the bus accident occurred near Azad Patan Road and Olhar Bridge. The place where the accident happened is the limits of Kahota, police, rescue, and administration are present at the accident site in Kahota.
Police officials say that the dead bodies of those who died in the bus accident have been removed. The bodies of the deceased have been shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, Kahoota, and the process of identification of the deceased is ongoing.
