15 dead bodies have been found across Karachi in the last 36 hours amid extremely hot weather.
According to rescue officials, the bodies were found in Lyari, Korangi Lasbela, and other areas of the port city.
Rescue officials say that most of the bodies are of drug addicts who died due to extreme heat while under the influence of drugs.
He says that two out of 15 people died due to heat stroke.
Meanwhile, Karachi recorded the hottest July night last night, according to the Meteorological Department.
The hottest July night in Karachi set a new record with a temperature of 32.5 degrees Celsius.
It surpassed the previous record, where the temperature was recorded at 32 degrees Celsius.
Earlier on July 17, the city recorded a minimum temperature of 32 degrees Celsius, the highest-ever July nighttime temperature for Karachi.
Partly cloudy weather will remain in the city today as sea breezes are suspended and the mercury may rise to 39 degrees today.
According to the Meteorological Department, the humidity in the air in the city is 68%, due to which the feeling of heat is getting more intense.
