Big Shock for KP Doctors: Professional Tax Deduction Begins
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa doctors’ salaries have been formally decided to cut professional tax.
The Department of Excise and Taxation has sent a post to the Health Department, which has directed to ensure tax collection from salaries, otherwise the hospital administration may face a fine.
According to the post, the salaries of doctors working in government hospitals in the province have been ordered to deduct professional tax according to fixed rates.
In addition, doctors have also been emphasized to collect tax arrears.
The decision was made in light of the Peshawar High Court’s 2021 decision, which can be taken in strict action if it is not implemented.
