Rawalpindi: Six Khawarij were killed and 12 soldiers were martyred in an exchange of fire with terrorists who tried to attack a check post in Bannu. During this exchange of fire, six Khawarij were martyred. Due to effective resistance from the security forces, the Khawarij could not enter the checkpost. On which they rammed a vehicle loaded with explosives into the outer wall of the checkpost. As a result of the suicide blast, a part of the wall collapsed and the surrounding infrastructure was also affected. according to ISPR 12 brave soldiers were martyred in the suicide blast, including 10 security forces personnel and 2 Frontier Constabulary personnel. According to the spokesperson of the Pakistan Army, a clearance operation is underway in the area and those responsible for this heinous act will be brought to justice.
