12 Personnel Martyred in Bannu Suicide Attack: ISPR
Rawalpindi: Six Khawarij were killed and 12 soldiers were martyred in an exchange of fire with terrorists who tried to attack a check post in Bannu.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on November 19, the Khawarij tried to attack a joint check post in the Malikhel area of the Bannu district.
During this exchange of fire, six Khawarij were martyred.
Due to effective resistance from the security forces, the Khawarij could not enter the checkpost.
On which they rammed a vehicle loaded with explosives into the outer wall of the checkpost.
As a result of the suicide blast, a part of the wall collapsed and the surrounding infrastructure was also affected.
according to ISPR 12 brave soldiers were martyred in the suicide blast, including 10 security forces personnel and 2 Frontier Constabulary personnel.
According to the spokesperson of the Pakistan Army, a clearance operation is underway in the area and those responsible for this heinous act will be brought to justice.
Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies are determined to eradicate terrorism.

President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed grief over the martyrdom of 12 soldiers in the attack by Khawarij terrorists in Bannu. He paid tribute to the soldiers of the Pakistan Army for sacrificing their lives in defense of the homeland.

The President reiterated his resolve to completely eradicate the scourge of terrorism and prayed for the highest ranks for the soldiers who were martyred in the terrorist incident.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has strongly condemned the attack by Khawarij terrorists on a security forces check post in the Bannu area.

He said that the brave sons of the country have thwarted the nefarious intentions of the terrorists by sacrificing their lives and sending 6 terrorists to hell.
