$100 Per Month? Starlink’s Shocking Price Revealed
Federal Minister IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja has confirmed that Starlink has been issued a temporary NOC in Pakistan, Which is expected to improve connectivity. However, further steps are pending by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) for its full approval.
According to PTA sources, Starlink may take 2 to 4 weeks to receive the final license,
While the start of services will take 4 to 6 months. In the meantime, the import of goods, the installation of ortho-dates, and the necessary testing will be completed.
Starlink prices will be fixed by the company itself, however, according to preliminary reports, its potential cost may be $ 100 a month, while in the beginning the cost is expected to be up to $ 500, including the dish and the router.
Experts say the price will be higher for ordinary Pakistani citizens and will be mainly suitable for consumers of rich classes or remote areas.
According to IT experts, the arrival of Starlink will improve the availability of the Internet, but it is unrealistic to solve problems like censorship.
In addition, its expensive price can cause problems for the general consumers, while it will be a more expensive option than the already existing Internet services in urban areas.
