We Have No Confirmation If Our Father Is Even Alive: Qasim Khan

Qasim Khan, the son of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has stated on his X (formerly Twitter) account that his father has now been imprisoned for 845 days.

In his post, he claimed that for the past six weeks, Imran Khan has been kept in a death cell” under complete solitary confinement, and despite clear court orders, his sisters are not being allowed to meet him.

According to Qasim Khan, there has been no phone call, no meeting, and not even confirmation regarding whether Imran Khan is alive. He added that neither he nor his brother has been able to contact their father in any way during this period.

He asserted that this is not any kind of “security protocol” but a deliberate blackout designed to hide Imran Khan’s condition and prevent the family from knowing whether he is safe.

Qasim Khan further stated that if anything happens to his father as a result of this inhuman treatment, the Pakistani government will be fully responsible.

At the end of his statement, he appealed to the international community and global human rights organizations to intervene immediately, demand proof of Imran Khan’s well-being, ensure access and visitation as ordered by the courts, end this inhuman solitary confinement, and call for the release of Pakistan’s most popular political leader, who, according to him, is imprisoned solely for political reasons.
