Turkey To Send Key Ministers To Pakistan For Peace Talks

To break the deadlock in Pakistan-Afghanistan negotiations, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has announced sending key ministers to Pakistan. According to Turkish news agencies, the delegation will arrive in Pakistan this week and hold discussions with relevant authorities.

Turkey is once again making efforts to mediate the deadlock between Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban. President Erdoğan has announced that his Foreign Minister, Defense Minister, and Intelligence Chief will lead the delegation.

Diplomatic sources say Pakistani authorities are finalizing the dates with Turkish officials, which are expected to be set within a day or two. The purpose of the visit is to finalize a Pakistan-Afghanistan ceasefire and establish lasting peace.

According to a British news agency, President Erdoğan announced the delegation’s visit after consulting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif upon returning from Baku. Previous negotiations in Qatar and Turkey to resolve border disputes between Pakistan and Afghanistan ended without results due to the Taliban’s refusal to provide written guarantees.
