Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said during his visit to Bahrain’s capital, Manama, that he felt at home in Bahrain. He described the warmth and respect shown by the King and Crown Prince as unforgettable. The Prime Minister reiterated his commitment to further strengthen the long-standing brotherly ties between Pakistan and Bahrain, stating that mutual respect and trust should be transformed into economic cooperation.
Addressing the business community, PM Shehbaz Sharif said that negotiations took place in a highly positive environment, strengthening bilateral relations. He highlighted that Pakistan has the youngest population in the world, with 60% of the population aged 15 to 30, and the government is prioritizing equipping youth with IT, AI, and modern skills.
The Prime Minister emphasized creating new investment opportunities in collaboration with Bahraini business entities. He also praised the Pakistani community in Bahrain, calling them a source of national pride, and acknowledged their vital role in sending $484 million in remittances.
Shehbaz Sharif noted that Pakistan offers vast opportunities in agriculture, energy, minerals, IT, and tourism, and invited Bahraini investors to participate in joint projects. He added that the Pakistan-GCC Free Trade Agreement is in its final stages, ensuring maximum facilities for investors.
