US President Donald Trump has revealed that he explicitly told Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi that there should be no war with Pakistan.
Speaking to journalists during a Diwali event at the White House, Trump said that he had a telephone conversation with Modi, discussing various issues, including trade.
Trump emphasized that he believes in resolving conflicts through trade, and based on this policy, he conveyed to Modi that there should be no war with Pakistan.
The US president claimed that during his tenure, he prevented eight wars through trade, including a potential war between Pakistan and India.
According to Trump, during periods of Pakistan-India tension, seven planes were shot down, but he contacted the leaders of both countries and warned that if war broke out, the US would terminate trade relations. Within just 24 hours, both nations conveyed that they did not want war.
It is worth noting that President Trump has previously taken credit for helping to prevent conflicts between Pakistan and India on several occasions.
